Ted and Patti are long time residents of Nanaimo, Patti having been born here and share a common interest of involvement in their community.

Ted took early retirement from teaching to pursue his interest in the farm and hosting a bed and breakfast while Patti continues to serve on several community boards and runs her fisheries consulting firm with her business partner.
